Journal Writing: Your parents decided to redecorate the house, and you are allowed to choose how to decorate your bedroom. How would you like your room to look?
Mrs. Ward
*OK, so I'm sure you are not going to decorate your room with books, but I will. :) I never quite know what to do with them all.....

Power Point Presentations for Speech
Below is a link that provides help using PowerPoint. It may be helpful for those students who want to use a slide show while they speak. When you get to the site, just click on the "purple" titles and see what topics there are to assist you with this portion of the project.

Journal Writing: Persuasive
Some of you have expressed an interest in writing Mr. Gill as to being able to have iPod Friday's continued in our classroom. This will be great practice in writing a persuasive letter in something that you are very passionate about.
Please keep that "tone" in your letter. You need to remember to express your thoughts, beliefs, arguments for/against in a very respectful tone. Please include the 5 paragraph rule:
Hook
Reason 1
Reason 2
Reason 3
Conclusion
If need be - think and write it in your Power Levels - elaborate on each of your reasons.
